WELCOME TO PDO SCHOOL
Welcome to PDO School, where children thrive and excel in our child centred, learning focused, international environment. We offer high quality educational provision for the children of expatriate PDO employees aged between 3 and 11 years old.
The PDO School Team caters for the individual, social and academic needs of every child through regular assessment and specific learning programmes, to secure the best outcomes. We implement the English National Curriculum for English and Mathematics, alongside the International Primary Curriculum - a creative and dynamic strategy that supports all learning styles and secures excellent progress. Our high ratio of adults to children secures small class sizes and ensures each child has access to support and focused teaching when needed, whilst continuously developing the skills and confidence required for independent learning.
In 2015 we moved into our new school building which provides state of the art learning environment for our children. Our aim is for children to leave our care as truly global citizens, highly competent literate and numerate individuals, with a fluency in language and a passion for lifelong learning.
Every child has access to specialist teachers in Music, Physical Education, Science and Computing to ensure they achieve their potential.

Our History
Founded in 1966, PDO School started as a Royal Dutch Shell primary school, funded and supported by Petroleum Development Oman. At that time, it was the only school in Muscat providing primary education for the children of expatriate PDO and Shell employees of all nationalities. We are now a full PDO School.
